Little Bootswww.myspace.com/littlebootsmusicFriday 13th March 2009 / Sumo / The Cornerhouse / Middlesbrough / 10:30pm / £5 / 18+In the 1920s, Little Boots - aka 25 Blackpudlian Victoria Heskith - would have been called an It Girl. She's one cool cat. FACT. She DJed at Hot Chip's album launch, she headlined the Vice Magazine Tour and she found herself at number 35 in NME's 2008 Cool List. The credentials don't end there either - she's had a full page feature in The Independent, she's performed on Jools Holland and there probably isn't a music magazine left in the land that hasn't sang her praises. Her debut album was recorded by Greg Kuntin (Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen etc) and produced by Joe from the aforementioned Hot Chip and it's undoubtedly the edgiest, sassiest and downright marvellous electro-pop that we've heard in a long time - think Gwen Stefani meets Timbaland meets Lyke Lyke?! Perhaps we should leave the descriptions to the professionals: "Synths, glitter and a cosmic disco vibe... the future of pop." The Guardian"Testament to the magical escapades that immense pop music can lead you on... recent single "Stuck On Repeat" is a butterflies-inducing charge of soul-searching electro-trance, boldly-bidding for track of the year."
